Experts’ Colloquium with Judges of the German Trademark Courts on 22 Nov. 2013
On 22 November 2013, the German PTO, MARQUES and MARKENVERBAND invite once more to an experts’ colloquium with judges of the German trademark courts. The judges will report on trademark related information of practical importance such as the liability of interveners, the burden of substantiation in litigation, the genuine use of trademarks, the assessment of a risk of confusion and the determination of the public perception.
Speakers are Prof. Dr. Joachim Bornkamm, Presiding Judge at the German Federal Supreme Court, Prof. Dr. Franz Hacker, Presiding Judge at the German Federal Patent Court, Michael Schmidt, Presiding Judge at the Court of Appeal Hamburg, Lars Meinhardt, Presiding Judge at the District Court of Munich I, Achim Bender, Presiding Judge at the Federal Patent Court (retired), Prof. Dr. Olaf Sosnitza, University Wuerzburg, Judge at the Court of Appeal Nuremberg (retired).
